The Sightmark Presidio 2–12×50 HDR SFP is a versatile riflescope developed for hunting and precision shooting at close to medium distances. Its broad 2–12× magnification range, light-gathering 50 mm objective lens and etched HDR hunting reticle provide a practical combination of fast target acquisition, detailed imagery and a precise aiming point.
The riflescope features a single-piece 30 mm aluminium tube, side parallax adjustment from 9.14 m to infinity, capped low-profile adjustment turrets, a built-in Zero Stop and red reticle illumination with six brightness levels.
At 2× magnification, the Sightmark Presidio provides a wide field of view and supports fast target detection and tracking. This makes it practical for shorter distances, wooded terrain and dynamic hunting situations.
At up to 12× magnification, the shooter gains the additional detail required for more precise aiming and target identification at medium distances. The 6:1 zoom ratio allows one riflescope to cover a wide range of applications without becoming excessively long or heavy.
Low magnification and a wide field of view support quick orientation during close-range hunting situations.
Magnification up to 12× provides better target definition and finer use of the reticle.
Consistent and comfortable eye relief supports natural mounting and a safe head position.
The HDR reticle is etched directly onto glass and remains visible in black even when illumination is switched off. Its broad outer posts naturally guide the eye towards the centre, while the fine centre dot allows more of the target to remain visible.
At the maximum 12× magnification, the centre dot measures approximately 0.2 MOA. The fine centre lines are positioned 2 MOA from the centre, while the transition to the thicker posts provides a 10 MOA reference.
The reticle remains visually constant in size as magnification is changed.
The reticle remains usable even when the illumination is switched off.
The heavy outer posts improve orientation without unnecessarily covering the central aiming area.
The red reticle illumination provides six brightness levels. An OFF position is placed between every level, allowing the shooter to switch off the illumination and return directly to the preferred brightness setting without rotating through the entire range.
In low-light conditions, the lower levels highlight the centre of the reticle without excessively illuminating the field of view. Higher settings can be used in brighter environments.
Settings from 1 to 6 for different lighting conditions.
Quick shutdown and direct return to the previously selected brightness.
Widely available battery type that is straightforward to replace.
Approximate operating life depending on the selected brightness level.
The 50 mm objective lens provides strong light-gathering capability, while the fully multi-coated optical system supports light transmission, image contrast and clarity.
Exit pupil diameter ranges from 16.6 mm at 2× to 4.1 mm at 12×. This provides a comfortable image at low magnification and sufficient detail at the upper end of the magnification range.
16.8–2.8 m at 100 m, depending on magnification.
Adjustment range from –2 to +2 for a sharp and clearly defined reticle.
A discreet exterior suitable for hunting and sporting rifle configurations.
The side-focus control allows the image to be focused and parallax to be corrected from 10 yd / 9.14 m to infinity.
This is particularly useful when shooting at different distances and at higher magnification, where incorrectly adjusted parallax can cause the reticle to appear to move across the target when the shooter changes eye position.
The low-profile adjustment turrets are protected by screw-on caps and provide distinct tactile and audible clicks. Each click equals 1/4 MOA, while the total elevation and windage adjustment ranges are both 100 MOA.
The built-in Zero Stop allows the elevation turret to return to a preset zero position after the riflescope has been sighted in. The turrets do not have a separate locking mechanism because they are protected during use by their screw-on caps.
The body is manufactured from aircraft-grade aluminium and uses a single-piece 30 mm tube. Its hard-anodised finish protects the exterior surface and maintains a discreet matte-black appearance.
The riflescope is nitrogen-filled, shockproof and fogproof, and carries an IP67 rating for protection against dust and temporary immersion in water to a depth of 1 m for up to 1 hour.
Durable construction with a controlled total weight of 720 g.
Helps prevent internal fogging during temperature changes.
Dustproof and waterproof construction.
Broad operating-temperature range.
The video demonstrates a durability test involving a riflescope from the Presidio series. The model used in the test is the Presidio 3–18×50, not the exact 2–12×50 HDR version, so the video should be viewed as a demonstration of the construction concept used across the Presidio series.
Protect the eyepiece and objective lens during transport and movement in the field.
Provides faster and more convenient adjustment of the magnification ring.
One battery for powering the red reticle illumination.
For careful cleaning of the external optical surfaces.
